High quality fish in the Coachella Valley. Finally a good sushi spot opened up in Palm Springs. I believe this is a sister restaurant to their Santa Ana location (they have very good reviews too), so I was eager to see if this place was worth the hype. This restaurant opened up 7 days ago, so they need some time to work out the flow of service; however, the sushi was pretty good. I ordered the ponzu roll, unagi handroll, halibut and albacore nigiri, negitoro cut roll, yellowtail carpaccio, and salmon nigiri. The nigiri and handroll were the best items and next time I would order more of those items. The nori was crispy in the handroll so that made it even better. Also, some of the nigiri seemed pre seasoned so I used very little soy sauce. The fish quality was very high for the reasonable prices they were charging so I will definitely be ordering a lot more next time lol. The restaurant also had a nice selection of sake and beers to choose from. The restaurant interior was very modern and had a gorgeous sushi bar right when you entered the space. The tables were nicely spaced out and had comfortable seating. Outdoor seating with misters were available but it was a little too hot to dine outdoors when I went. (This is the former "Stout" restaurant location located on the street level of the Rowan hotel) Overall, I am glad the Coachella Valley has a new sushi restaurant with high quality fish for reasonable prices. I will return soon!
